I think the shares will be trading higher than the current price minus dividend amount when it goes ex-div, because there is a lot of selling pressure currently from people selling to convert options, and also selling to avoid tax on the dividend which is unfranked, instead rather paying CGT (with a potential discount of 50%) and potentially offsetting capital losses. We might even see a run up after the dividend date if POG sentiment becomes positive.
