Depends on which cancer you are talking about.
Ovarian has a shocking survival rate because diagnosis is usually in late stage because there are few symptoms.
BD1 test is early detection which lifts the 5 yr survival rate from ~ 50% to ~ 90%

Breast cancer is different. A lot of women these days are screened by mammogram, which incidentally has a lower specificity and sensitivity compared to the BD1 blood test.
The key here IMO is the blood test can tell the difference between benign and cancerous tumours.
What happens now is you have a mammogram, they find a mass, they send you off for probably an ultrasound, then ultimately for a biopsy.......the whole time the person is worried they have a life threatening illness which they may not have.
Breast cancer is not so much about survival rates, but with all cancer the earlier the better the chances and BD1 is early detection, its about the potential cost saving to the diagnostic market.
One simple blood test when you are having a check up could remove all the stress of mammograms, which are uncomfortable I've been told, ultrasounds and invasive biopsy's.
Worlds first blood test for cancer.....has a nice ring to it IMO.
