This was in the news this morning.
National Action Plan for Ovarian Cancer Research
The report available at this link contains some interesting analysis of the current state of the science around ovarian research and highlights some of the difficulties in getting an early detection test approved for use (see pg 57 of the report onwards).
The federal government has also announced a $20m round of funding grants to support research into ovarian cancer and particularly early detection. ABC link
Interesting reading, although there's no mention of BD1 or BARD1 anywhere.
