Re the LDT's....I think they are specific labs run by say Sonic or others where more complex blood tests are done. Obviously the normal run of the mill testing can be done by the various pathology depts all around Aus...but specific more complex tests can't.
In my own case I have 1 specific test that has to go to Melbourne...all others get done here in Tas.
I could be wrong re LDT's...but its how I think it works???
