I don’t think cumulative number reflects accurately the prescription performance.

This is not like subscription, when you pay monthly fee, so the more paying clients the better.

Let’s assume 1 patient uses 1 prescription per month.

If you have the same monthly number of prescription, it could very well mean there is no new patient.
