Did yes, worked at Argyle/RioTinto Diamonds from 88-09, finished as Senior diamond valuer.
Since have worked at KDC - Ellendale and several with other mining/exploration companies since!
The potential sanctions on Russian diamonds could have a some unintended consequences, removing 35% of all rough diamonds from a market that is already struggling with supply. It may just be a blip but could also go on for years, prices going up sounds good for a new company entering the market, though consumers may start to baulk at prices and look to alternatives, travel will once again start taking it's share of peoples spending money.
Interesting times as ethics in the industry has become a focal point, so where does that leave Russian "blood" diamonds?
