The issue comes down to price I suppose.
If someone is stretched for $ and they want something close to the real deal, they may consider lab grown. But LG vs natural may be at completely different price points in the market.
I don't personally think like that, but I can't speak for others.
I'm not sure of resale value for lab grown though, which may play a large part in decision making. Resale for rarer coloured diamond jewelry you'd think would be significantly higher vs LG. But I'd have to check that
