Qualified market player should be UNBIASED and read the market by its actions. So insisting long or insisting short are not the wiseattitude. Your choise of direction is always based on the market outlook.
Qualified value player care much less about market fluctuation but the book, the generation and the capability to gain and retain the market position/advantage. This involves a understanding of many aspects and in many cases, the true meaning of the goodwill.@Supermatt
