Saw a report today where a US Company (can't recall the name), whose earnings tripled the estimate. It went from $37 to $37.12. As Crashy says, estimates are purely arbitary.........& they are made by analysts (who I would not believe in a pink fit).
IMHO, ignore this "beating estimates" rubbish.......focus on fundamentals & growth potential. Do your own research.
