Coudn't agree more Tibbs, can't tell you how many times I've spoken to some company directors who have talked about the 'punters' who like to put down money and expect earth shattering movement upwards in price, without doing any research on the company/sector etc. whatsoever and if it doesn't go their way they turn into serial pests and make life difficult for the company and 'investors'. If it were that easy every man and his dog would be rolling in it, but it doesn't work that way, it is a market in the true sense (buyers vs sellers) (supply vs demand) there will be loosers and winners at the same time, trick is in timing but its how the system works. Punting is best spent at the races, casino, lottery pick your number any number.

I don't hold BAU - so cannot comment on the company or price, but I am of the belief bauxite and the resultant aluminium is looking very good next 6 months imo, most analyst are bullish on it's future and believe prices will rise further with new money flowing out of oil and into base metals such as bauxite, remember bauxite is no.2 after iron ore in terms of worldwide consumption, Australia is the leader in bauxite exports imo and doing some more research and can only imagine BAU will be in poll position to reap the rewards, I do know the BAU owned areas have little impurities and this make it attractive for local and particulary overseas smelters (where energy costs are much cheaper) to produce same amount of aluminium and those who know will tell you bauxite is a heavyweight in terms of energy consumption. Short-term Chinese stockpiles are set to thin-out, general worldwide consumption should see gradual rise, there has been some touting this the next FMG, looking at the future I do not see whynot - long term the fundamentals look good, an offtake agreement would not hurt one-bit but thats me not knowing where the co. is currently at, all in due time imo, dyor cheers, n
