Secondly, it was Europe that threw up Franco, Petain and the French Vichy, Norways Quisling, Adolph Hitler, Milosevic, Mussolini, Stalin, Ceaucescu, 2 world wars, The onerous communist state, fascism, and at least 3 cases of the worst ethnic cleansing in the last century.

Its also worth noting that the nations who were left to sort these continental conflicts out and remove their leaders just happened to be those same democratic countries who had the good fortune to have their civilisations, legal and political systems, values and cultural traditions based on the British template.

The same ones who are now being vilified for once again standing against tyrants and dictators while the usual suspects........are just that..........Suspect..

Now you can parrot on with your spurious argument about european culture lasting for centuries, but it seems to me , it was largely a long war interrupted by short periods of peace.
