Well in my 35 plus years of investing and trading on the stock market I have looked at 1000's of broker valuation reports and the NPV calculation has always been based on at least 5 years future outlook and generally at least 10 years future outlook.
I have never once seen a broker report that bases its valuation of a company on 18 months outlook.
Valuations of companies are based on discounted cashflows over a long period of time and not periods as short as 18 months.
