Bowen claimed that Australian whales were smart enough to dodge the anchor chains etc of those massive structures but would they be smart enough to dodge a 30 metre shard of razor sharp fibreglass?
On the bright side we may very well be treated to sliced and diced whale meat. Diehard Japanese whale-meat lovers could flock to the area waiting for chunks of free whale bacon to wash up.
