    Dear Sir,
    Announcement for Immediate Release
Beam signs as Value Added Reseller with Iridium Satellite LLC
Tele-IP announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Beam Communications Pty Ltd, has
entered into an agreement with Iridium Satellite LLC , for Beam to become a Value Added Reseller.
Following on from Beam’s appointment as a Value Added Manufacturer over 4 years ago, the
appointment as a Value Added Reseller provides Beam with the opportunity to resell Iridium’s Short
Burst Data (SBD) and other specialised data services to global markets. Resale of SBD provides for
Beam to accrue revenue based on the volume of satellite airtime used by Beam’s SBD customers.
The demand for low cost data services to support asset tracking, telemetry and alert reporting
applications is rapidly increasing and the ability for the Iridium network to provide pole to pole
coverage with one system makes it the ideal solution for global applications.
Specifically the Short Burst Data services Beam will be offering enable low cost data packets to be
sent and received anywhere on earth. These services are in high demand for maritime, aviation,
government/military, emergency/humanitarian services, mining, transportation and utilities
    applications.
“Iridium is excited to have Beam on board as Value Added Reseller, giving the company the
opportunity to offer Iridium data services as part of its growth into the global tracking and monitoring
markets,” said Don Thoma, Executive Vice President, Iridium Satellite. "They will be integral in the
introduction of innovative Iridium-based solutions to satisfy requirements for global, low-latency
mobile satellite data applications", he said.
“The signing of this agreement is the first major step in Beam’s strategy to provide turnkey solutions
to our distribution channels and customers,” said Michael Capocchi, General Manager for Beam.
“Beam has invested considerably in the design and manufacture of Iridium-based products over the
last few years and this recent appointment will enable Beam to package data services with its
products and provide the end user with end-to-end solutions.”
“The next phase will be the launch of a global tracking application followed by the release of Beam’s
new state-of-the-art tracking and alert monitoring products later in 2006,” Capocchi said.
