Agreed... CK has been on my favourite list for as long as I have been on HotCopper. Not only are his posts informative and RIGHT ON THE MONEY, but they are often amusing aswell. CK does offend many people by posting in the way he does, but normally its just because he is right and they are wrong.
Further to what CK said in his previous post. I too live of the dividends I receive. This is why I invest in good, solid stocks that I plan to hold forever. If you are investing for income (which happily enough increases every single year, even in "bear" markets) then the share price is immaterial. The price that you could sell your stocks for only matters to those who wish to sell them! If the price of your income producers deteriorates it is in fact a joyous occasion because you then have the opportunity to buy MORE income at REDUCED cost! Aha, truly the best way to invest!
