Strikes me the HC SGH forum is like Gilligans Island.

A remaining small bunch of survivors sitting around awaiting salvation.

Desperately analysing any snippets of information or consulting the candles, cups, saucers or plates looking for a sign of rescue - which doesn't come - but consoling themselves that the sails of a rescue ship will appear on the horizon one day.

    When?

    No idea.

Every prediction they've posted on HC last 12 months has met with 100% no result - but there's always going to be the next brilliantly researched glimmer of hope from our learned colleagues.

Which, if history is anything to go by, is no more than speculation.

And it must be - what does anyone have to work with?

Even SGH itself has admitted, by the very fact it's suing WTG, the sparse information it was providing to it's shareholders has been wrong - because, apparently, WTG gave it wrong information.

While SGH seems to be casting it's gaze around looking for someone to blame, there's been no reference to it's own much lauded DD which must have been negligent also. Maybe, despite the HC SGH posters poo-pooing of it's chances of success, it has some legs. Maybe MB isn't really staffed by dumbots - perhaps it knows what it's doing.

I'd say SGH might think so - I'm guessing it was no coincidence that 24 hours after MB confirmed it was proceeding with it's CA that SGH announced it would be taking action against WTG.

No matter what it was being told by others - surely SGH own people must have realised what the likely outcome of the Quindell business was going to be.

It's almost like SGH was unaware about the changes in PI legislation that were pending -despite the fact it had been common knowledge for some time before the Quindell acquisition.

Even if it did - it seems SGH decided it was going to have little effect on it's business because of scale of size - despite the fact the rest of the legal profession was up in arms.

How can all those DD people be so wrong over such a long time?

And you can't argue that they wasn't wrong - look at the current situation.

As people have said in the past, Mr. Market is usually right.

Meanwhile the residents of HC Gilligan's Island, which could in retrospect be discovered situated somewhere in a big river in Egypt, carry on with their day-to-day HC speculations seemingly blissfully ignoring the possibility of any severe storm about to hit their existence. And if it does it could be a long time, if ever, they recover from it.

Or, ultimately, they might be right in their speculations about rescue - and they can all party and slap each other other the back with their 'I told you so - it was only a matter of time - one day we had to be right's'

In the meantime the rest of the world just keeps moving along without them - and by the time they get to re-join it they realise all the stuff that was going on they've missed out on.
