re: chart of zinc gann At some point the zinc price should rise unitl the price deters demand. At that point demand falls - supply builds and then the price drops Imo. Copper can be replaced by plastics/alum in many cases. The same cant be said for zinc. We may see the price rise to the point where demand should be affected but unless overall global glowth slows zinc prices could continue to rise as it has no substitute in most cases so buyers will grin and bear it. I agree that at some point in the future the price will fall- trying to pick a date - out of my league. I am looking at global growth as future indication of zinc prices not some s/t offloading by producers at current high prices. s/t hedge funds/traders will affect the price of zinc more so than demand - as they get the jitters and take profits. once we are out of the profit taking stage i think the price will rebound asthere is no indication of a slow down in the demand at the mo.
