i really think they are confused.....plain and simple
we are seeing something NO ONE has seen before and as such many of them are confused as to what to say or predict.
this is why we are seeing strange and wild swings in the US market as the punters keep getting confusing signals from these so called experts
and this is mirrored here by the analysts in Australia.
the Rio bid for Alcan yesterday is a perfect example.
and i still believe our assets are cheap by world standards
look at Wesfarmers trying to buy Coles
i believe they are stealing Coles.
as was the private buyout of Qantas
and this is now a problem for company Boards to understand how their businesses should be valued and as such to extract the best value for shareholders.
Its a very very unusual time.
Sure caution will be needed for some stocks as all boats are lifted in this surge but truly global companies with world class assets are still cheap by any measure and based on the outlook.
