According to the latest economic plan, China will build 30 more units of 1,000MW levelnuclear power and will increase its installed capacity of nuclear power to 40GW by 2020. This level of power will account for 4% of China’s total installed power generatingcapacity.
Furthermore, since it will take at least 5 years to build a single nuclear powerplant, China will need to construct 2 units of 1,000MW level nuclear power per year fromnow until 2015 to reach its goal
