If it were Apex selling shares, the selling pressure would ease at least three weeks ago. From 1st sep. over 500mill shares changed hands. Since Apex was issued only 67mill shares, (clearly) Apex would sell their shares a long time ago. However, there is one problem: if AXM sold their shares they would loose the stake in jv. The question remains: Who is selling and pushing sp down? (What is the reason behind the selling?)

Here is the deal done between SIR and Apex (from financial statement):

Apex and Carey Minerals Asset Acquisition
By a combination of the Apex Nickel Transaction and the Carey Minerals
Transaction the Company will acquire a 100% interest in the Apex Nickel-
Carey Minerals joint venture.
The consideration payable or to be issued by the Company to acquire the

Apex Nickel Assets and the Carey Minerals Assets is:
a) $1 million in cash to Apex Nickel and $250,000 cash to Carey Minerals.

b) 66,666,667 shares to Apex Nickel and 16,666,667 shares to Carey Minerals at
a deemed issue price of 0.85 cents per share.

c) 600,000,000 options to Apex Nickel and 150,000,000 options to Carey
Minerals, by which options the holder may subscribe for shares at an exercise
price of 3 cents each and exercisable at any time up to the date which is five
years after the date of issue.
