my wife took on a spanish student yonks back, to learn english. it was hard for the girl, she wasn't one who just sailed through studying. just worked hard and studied. now she taches english and is really well qualified. we are both really proud of her. however her first job was in a spnish PRIVATE school. after all exams the head (a big bitc*h i might add) checked all the results before any kid got them. all results were upped so the parents thought their little darlings were cleveer than they really were. the clever ones though were the head and the teacher. the head cos she gotten big bucks in fees from 'happy perents' and the teacher cos she left and got a job in a nice state school.
me, university of a newspaper seller, street talker and turf follower. great school too i might add. oh, and by the way, i'm a pom too. proud to be english but not british.
