    Thanks 202020. I have the same info, and the question would be why wasn't BTA snapped up at $1 or less, but it wasn't such a money machine then, and there might have been better targets at that time. Some big pharma were probably targets themselves, needing to stay solvent.

    It is hard to ignore the fundementals. For less than $1B it looks like one could have picked up part of Lani and all of Relenza.

    If pc is as smart as I think he should be, a take-over of BTA or DS should trigger a low cost option for the survivor to pick up the part of Lani that it did not own.

    We have always wondered why the settlement was only $20M. Call me a devious thinker if you like, but it might have extensive take-over protective clauses extending beyond GSK coverting what BTA has and/or first refusal for BTA deals.

    I don't think BTA would share any details, but I detect more confidence than would normally be justified. That's just a non bankable feeling.

    Any M&A folks out there with some experience is such matters please?
