You have the right to voice your opinion and you most certainly have the right to support consolidation and advocate for it if you wish. As I mentioned to another poster, knock yourself out and vote in favour of it.
What you don't have the right to do is make a false accusation about the signatories of this email. Let's be clear, you accused someone of breaking the law - that's actually defamatory if proven to be untrue. As you yourself just admitted, it is NOT illegal. I strongly suggest you ask the mods to remove your post.
Otherwise, man up and apologise and we can all move on.
