As I understand it, a couple of years ago anyone arriving from the U.K. (certain years specific) was unable to donate blood because of the uncertainty of their status as a carrier of BSE.

Will ALL blood donors regardless of their country of origin now have to declare they have eaten IMPORTED meat. The voluntary blood donation system in Australia would have to be one the best and well supported systems anywhere. What a schmozzle. What about Australia's clean, green image when it comes to our primary production.
