Globe is looking for gas - Europe highly dependent, and wanting to get away from Russian gas.
Not a great situation with action on climate change a declared global priority.
As the Beehive contract was awarded before the election - which is likely to see the Greens with the balance of power in the Senate, this could add some SH value especially to the export market, leading up to the drill. Teals will need some soul searching too.
Positive also, for Beehive, is the Australian community appetite for onshore fracking isn't great. Offshore more like, out of sight, out of mind.
New Government are keen to address shortages in Eastern states gas markets. Comments today in the news.
