I have old 2008 Mondeo diesel sedan TDCI coming up with 200,000 kms on the clock. Never missed a beat.
Everyone in the family, including grandkids drive it as a utility vehicle.
Only change I made was to fit Recaro drivers seat. Otherwise the car is stock standard.
The old codgers who have serviced it from new cannot give any reason to get rid of it.
Over all those years it has averaged 7.2 economy. Only synthetic oil and best quality diesel used(BP and Costco)
I will keep it until there is no more diesel.
Nuclear is the way to go for major electricity supply.
