CVN is a junior oiler. Basically will move up on good news and recede on lack of good news, or crash on bad news.
IMHO is great buying at the moment and I have done exactly that and bought in again.
The seismic program being extended in the JV with SUR is in my opinion great news, as they will generally only extend data lines for a reason.
The shallow gas kick is a bit worrying, though the high mud gas readings at a lower level are great. The problem with both these is that both are relatively shallow depths, so probably not to much to get excited about.
The positive news though is finding something worth looking at harder in the lease with SUR.
PS I have also bought into SUR for better bang for the buck exposure to any potential finds.
