In answer to your Question "Moosey - it does seem to make sense why the UK won't have ARC (PRISM only). Could it be for non-proliferation that the USA won't allow the technology out of the country? I understand the risk is that because the plutonium is seperated it poses proliferation issues. No excuse for the USA not to roll out these ARC / PRISM / GLE systems."
I reckon it may have more to do with the fact that the Pu in the UK has already been separated and that is the biggest problem at hand for them right now, I believe they tried building a MOX plant there but it was a complete failure, not sure of the reasons?
It has been mentioned that they may go for an attached ARC at some latter date, GEH has offered to build the plant for NIX if the Poms let them charge for the power the plant produces, not sure whether that was just for a PRISM or with an ARC attached?
If the whole PRISM/ARC concept is sucessful it will go worldwide i.e.GLE =Global
