Yea good point on that GEV does help maximise outputs but IMHO and experience with the bigger enterprises is that they are more likely to only try unproven (to them at least) or new things when times are good. I lived through the 2001 dot com bust and the 2007 GFC so my observations were anecdotal to those periods and all the big companies were not trying new things but just simply focused on short-term cost cutting endeavours such as labour redundancies, cancelling new projects, etc. Having said that, I did notice that the smaller startups/companies that survived the market crashes go on to be giants when economies start recovering.
Hoping for you to be right and for me to be wrong! (this is how a mature conversation/disagreement should be btw me thinks)
