No they are not.
They may not be to blame, but they are not 'just' kids.

These are 2 peoples who hate each other and have been brought up to hate the other.

Ever since October 7 this was never going to be nice.
Hamas played its cards, and Israel has an excuse.

Hamas has to lay down its arms and it is over.
There is nothing Israel can do that will satisfy Hamas and bring peace, just buy time.

I guess the Israeli leadership has decided it is not going to live with a Hamas knife at their throat.
Not going to be nice.
