Sumitomo in talks with Molycorp, others on rare earth

TOKYO (Reuters) - Sumitomo Corp (8053.T), Japan's third-biggest trading house, said on Tuesday it is in talks with various producers, including Molycorp Inc (MCP.N) of the United States, on the supply of rare earths.
The Nikkei business daily reported on Tuesday that Sumitomo is taking a stake in the U.S.-based rare earth producer, boosting shares in the U.S. company
