No one wins in CFDs apart from the broker.

You guys know In IG those big warnings that say your losses may exceed your original investment? Just stick to your stop losses and do not cancel them.

How large are the positions you guys are taking? Just because it's leveraged/CFD doesn't mean you should suddenly take a 500 short position in TESLA.

I have recently started CFDs this year too. I've learnt a lot, though my short term swing share trading is a lot more profitable than my CFD account. I trade USD shares. Only downside this week the AUD/USD went up.

Sam do you mean you have opened short AND long position in the same stock?

If you are in the same CFD, you know it's just going to be basic maths, if you're long 100, short 200, you're always going to run that loss right apart from any gap difference. If you keep that going, the losses are just going to keep on rising if it keeps on going up. Would help to know what CFD you're in. I think they call this, stuck in both ends?

I'm surprised no one has replied you, if you're on IG, I'd suggest the IG forums.
