Personally I would leave your money sitting on the side
The main driver for my trading is NEWS -focus on the news and announcements - i refresh that page every minute - an announcement will move stocks - you can go crazy checking every single share punters sayn is ready to go or bouncing, or going bunta. no amount of hype or sentiment will get u a 100% rise in a day
if you had your money tied up in PEN u possibly missed trades in AVX, MNM today
its good to read threads to see what is of interest - example NRL and then the news comes = big run. but prior to this morning I had seen no mention of AVX - a stock which has now risen close to 100% today
When the news comes look for the volume for example look at EYE, EGO, HOR, KDR, AVQ
Understand what kind of news will move a stock ie project aquis, positive drill results, MOU's, big targets or resources - i mainly focus on resource stocks
i find this very simple and an easy effective way to begin - in and out every day or hold if strong close
