You are right however you still need to build a plant to process the ore and get it to your Giga factory that factory would take 3 to 5 years to build IMO I would say Australian built batteries would be up to 30 % more than what you could buy from over sea's Makers, Australia is a very small market and competition will be the biggest hurdle, Even if the Tariffs are removed the batteries will go the same way As ford and Holden and Toyota and Manufacturing in general. Than they will have problems with foreign ownership (BostonElec)
And the other financial Backers as well .Then you have the problem with the climate just imagine if they were half way through building now with the cyclone that’s just hit how far would that put the build back
