What the.... Who would ever think that the big Aussie bank price would deteriorate to the $27 - $28.80 price range? Bloody sub skum lenders in the land of the deep fried pizza burger....Aaarrggghhh...
While there is little or no connection to US sub skum lending to fat white trailer trash and our Aussie banks - our banks need to perhaps be a little more choosey about who and what they lend money for.
With average house prices heading to/over 1/2 a million bucks one wonders how Little Aussie Battlers will pay off their homes when interest rates ramp to 17% as in 1980's. You can bet London to a brick that they will continue to rise if and when the Labor dudes get in. And with IR laws potentially cramping wages and salaries - loan default minimisation will need to be addressed by ANZ and other banks in Oz.
ANZ though is trading cheaply. The Capt. is still in ANZ but not blowing the bank trumpet just now. Sunshine around divvy time.
