    No, cross trades are where the buyer and seller share the same broker. If I was from Commsec and bought from someone with Sanford that would not be a cross trade.

    So generally cross trades are fairly meaningless but there could be times when they carry useful information eg if they involve the broker representing a major shareholder and the numbers are significant.
