wafflehead, if the universe is 100% effect, then we have to assume the cause of it is outside of it. But what is outside the universe? I can only think that the universe is all there is. If I accept the assumption that the cause is outside the universe, then I actually jump into faith. The same case is by assuming there is an uncaused state.
Now since the universe is all there is, as far as I think of it, then it must be the cause and effect itself. Like a coin which can only be with head and tail.
