chihawk - fighting the Malaysian govt in public is definitely the wrong answer. In such negotiations there is the business end and the culture end to deal with. The battle field of international business is littered with the bodies of companies who have failed to grasp cultural difference and change tact. I think LYC has the right of it here. Any other view is a short-term one driven by the impact to one's back pocket now. A medium long-term view is required, a view which LYC seem to be taking, which is imo good stewardship.
