    It's not really about altruism, it's about whether I think a potentially useful new treatment may make it to the point of being a genuine option for patients with Ovarian cancer.

    If you don't accept their treatment holds promise, that's perfectly OK. As others have said no one has to hold stock in any company they don't believe in.

    The treatment you mention, paclitaxel (Taxol) is an existing treatment that has been around for some time. It is not a new product, and despite new approaches being trialled, such as mixing it with other therapies, and giving these by alternative routes (intra-peritoneal, rather than intravenous) it has so far not resulted in a significant breakthrough in survival rates, which is part of the reason for companies like PRR looking at other approaches to these standard chemotherapy options.

    Like I said, PRR's product may come to nothing, but as a health professional who sees patients affected by the disease I hope it does.
