It is tripe. Fact is you are systemically wrong any which way. I'm surprised you know nothing about share placements.

1. Management would value NEU easily at an order of magnitude higher, that's $1.52B. However, they know they can't get that today.
2. LW values NEU much lower than $0.09/sh. I doubt he is who he is by paying full retail on anything.
3. Through negotiation, often if not always including the brokerage house(s), the placement price and number of shares is agreed to. Done.
4. The day of the ann. NEU was trading at $0.089. (Point 2 becomes interesting then in the price context, and the confidence context, ie. whispers that may have motivated him to pay a premium.)

I bought a new car earlier this year. I knew the model, so I walked in, saw the sticker price, said, that's what Rolls (I wish) think it's worth, and paid. Done. lol... We negotiated for over an hour on every last little thing -- and guess what, it was a lower price than sticker. Has anyone in history ever done that? Um, yup.

If it's "more fool" anyone, it's the bloke that not only pays full ticker(sp) price, but thinks it's as good and fair as is possible.
