LOL this is all stuff I posted on here weeks ago re: daigou pricing recovery and 618 sales performance.
I think the point about not participating in key e-commerce events may relate to the extended sales period around 618.
This year the pre-sales promotions were running from an earlier point, I think a whole week earlier than they did in 2020. During this time other competitor products were discounted whereas A2's were not. After that first week the Tmall ranking came out with A2 placed like 9th or something like that. Then when the main festival period started A2 began to participate in promotional pricing. It quickly rose to 4th and held that position.
So, the takeaway is that the company has (to me) exhibited some outward sign of its strategy change to recover strong pricing, in CBEC and consequently also in daigou channels (which are closely linked).
