well - language limitations restrain me from saying on here what I really think. The Fosters backdown is just pathetic - and inexplicable! Meaning what - that their $3 target was just a "stab in the dark" - and that having seen the Bell Potter estimate, they saw this as being (perhaps) more "reliable", their more conservative SP target having made Fosters look foolish?

I am also restricted in alleging here any wrong-doing or negative to holders ulterior motives re. any brokering house and their predictions - but after some of the experiences I've been through at the hands of so-called "reputable" broking houses and their so-called "star" brokers over many years, and having foolishly believed lots of the guff dished out by so-called "reputable" (later proven to be crooked) company CEO's, company secretaries, and directors, I am very cynical, and nothing suprises me any more.

I make no allegation, inference, or suggestion that IOH is anything other than an excellently run company, bona fide and transparent in their required reportings, by comparison with some of my earlier trading experiences. The only observation I have is that Kerry Stokes will always be out for the best result for Kerry Stokes, and the same sentiment applies, (in my opinion only) to any CEO, however well intentioned. Any shareholders of any listed company are just a means to an end - be it the largest bank - or the smallest explorer. This "best result for shareholders" line is sheer rubbish! The "big boys" don't care for us - just their own bottom lines.

Perhaps I judge Stokes harshly - perhaps he does give a damn! If so, let him prove it downtrack! And consider all of us - who gave him the use of our combined hard-earned in good faith! (If a reader KNOWS Stokes - please show him this - and this thread discussion!) WE are real people - and we bleed red blood!

The main question is - whose opinion do we believe? Seems we have to work it out ourselves. So huge thanks to those who are trying to do just that, on this forum!

The "stuff" is in the ground. And lots of it. At least we're not talking mirages! And FMG have attained their Pilbara funding - that MUST be a plus!
