Not particularly concerned about Brookfield but I have more sympathy for them than the Private insurers. I used to be with MBF and have stayed with BUPA who took them over.
The insurers cover so little out of pocket now that the government should simply remove the tax penalties from not having Private Cover. What's the value of "insurance" that covers so little for any procedure?
Meanwhile they're all making out like bandits. The main value in Private Health cover for many is simply to avoid the PAYG surcharge.
