BCI presented yesterday at the above.

No announcement of the Preso as it was 'similar' to the info provided over the last few weeks, but wait - except........

Note the Closing comments & wording, most notably -
* "...and Pond operations commence in FY24"
* "Approvals will also be progressed during FY24."

So no specific mention of filling ponds in FY24, but 'pond operations', what ever that means.
And approvals not in Q3, but in FY24.

Forget about Minister and/or Canberra Public Servant delays.......

The December Quarterly didn't raise much of a response on HC as it was closely followed by the funding announcement which took everyone's attention away from the problems mentioned in the Quarterly.

This little gem would appear to have been missed by most.......
"The final Optimised Mardie Project approvals and approvals to commence filling of evaporation pondshas taken longer than anticipated due to approval delays outside of BCI’s control. A review of the ProjectSchedule to assess the impacts on the First Salt on Ship target date, has been undertaken. While allefforts will continue to be focussed on holding schedule, given this delay, First Salt on Ship may be likelyto occur during early Q2 FY27, assuming final approvals are obtained during February 2024. The BCIteam will continue to pursue all avenues to achieve FSOS as soon as possible. Any additional costs asa result of this delay are anticipated to be absorbed in the available contingency.

So first salt on ship now likely to be Q2 2027.
