They brought those masks etc when the rest of the world was day dreaming, thinking it was not going to affect us. Didn't Andrew Forrest just buy $160m worth of medical supplies in China, just the other day. The Australian government was purchasing extra supplies from the US before the US woke up to the fact that they would be affected to. The whole western world sleep walked into this.
