Based on the way SIR has closed today pre-CSPA, I would surmise that this announcement will not impact until tomorrow, and we will see some activity from brokers trying to suppress the price to get their clients in. Large volume turnover of shares in previous days indicates it has been day traded, and there is certainly a trend of a high in the morning, dropping away for the remainder of the day. A day traders dream come true. However significant drop off in volume may mean they have tired of this, so it would be nice to see a slow appreciation, followed by strong kicks from more drilling results. BP have gone modestly IMO targeting 1.79, and this target price is based upon what they believe is in the ground from current drilling results, and certainly doesn't take into account what else could come.
