I am sure they would be using any airfreight they can gain access too (just as they did during 2020) but seems very unlikely that the volumes would anywhere near what they move via sea freight. Air freight that leaves from NZ is still captured in the NZ ports data. Air freight from Australia isn't, but would not attract the subsidy linked above and would still be somewhat reflected in sea freight volumes from NZ to Australia.
