Another case of M&A was Dexus making a $300m takeover offer for APN Property Group (APD) (at a whopping 50% premium to last closing price and a 64% premium to 30-day VWAP).

Although it should be noted that APD was not merely a property portfolio holding company, but had a property investment management business which was probably worth as much as the properties it owned, so it's not quite an apples-with-apples comp.

But I think it does portend some kind of M&A stirrings in the sector.

Whether those stirrings will extend to CDP, I'm not sure.
