Rudd clearly was not on top of his brief. The 'education revolution' is just another bunch of vague promises on top of the one's he is yet to deliver on. His appalling lack of detailed knowledge of a subject that HE chose to focus on had me and obviously many members of the press club squirming with embarassment. But he pressed on with tough talk about 'argy bargy' and a determination to 'presecute these robust principles with full vigour'. When confronted with a specific question about the implementation of these principles he lamely indicated that 'of course, that is a matter for the states who are primarily responsible for education'. Already we can see that noone will be accountable when this one falls over. What an embarassing performance.
