reckon you're right there. the impending loss of franking credit refunds ( if Labor wins the election as widely predicted ) will reduce the value of many LICs which many investors use for a growing stream of fully franked dividends. the older traditional LICs AFI, Argo, Milton and BKI are now trading at discounts to NTA of 3%, 5%, 6% and 7% respectively. true that they fluctuate over the years between premiums and discounts, but it seems too much of a coincidence with the upcoming election.
